This is my 1st year at boarding and enjoying it. I have got hs and ts front 180's down (from oillies to w2w) I still need to work on my progressive edge because i'm only getting 3 to 4 ft of air. I'm having trouble with the bs 180's. I'm getting the board around and landing(some times wrapped and sometime with out handle) the problem is the handle pass. I have looked through the forums and found some of the trick such like an old handle tried to some weights and swing them around to get the idea of the handle pass.(been practicing them) My question is do i need to be pulling real hard to get the handle to my back then pass it? if so i keep pulling myself off axis.
Thanks for the help! |

| I found that if you look at the boat once you pop off the wake, then pull the handle and land blind, it's easier because you're making yourself wait longer. Once you land, just go for the handle, don't think of it like you have to pass the handle in the air. Other than that, try some ollie BS 1's out in the flats, or even do some inside-out ones to get the feel more. |

Thanks for the Reply!
When you say pull the handle, do you mean to my back? |

Consciously think about keeping the handle real close to your hips, it will make the pass happen a lot easier. _________________ http://www.myspace.com/wannabess

Yeah, towards the small of your back. Leaning over your toes as you are coming down on the landing may also make it easier on you too. |

| Practicing on a tramp or on land really wouldn't help that much in my opinion, just go out there and keep trying it. Remember, it's only a 180, you'll land it with enough practice. |

Yes, you should pull hard on the handle to start the spin. You're probably going off-axis because you're spinning too early. Wait for the pop, and at the top of your jump, pull hard on the handle to start the spin, get the pass, and land looking away from the boat edging toeside. If you really are getting pulled off-axis from the handle pass, you're probably passing it too high. Pass it under your butt or in the small of your back. |

| Yeah you're only pulling with one hand... you sure as hell aren't going to be pulling with two. This thread has already gotten to a point where there is too much information on how to do a somewhat simple move. Take the advice given above and just go out there and start working on it. Practice makes perfect. |

| TNT11 Wakeboard, No, you don't really pull the handle with one hand. I think of it as you just pull the handle in, so try to bring the handle as close to your back as you can. Just think of it as pulling the handle in and positioning the handle to the small of your back after you pull it in with BOTH hands then let go with the back hand. Try to hold on with both hands as long as you can though. The pass should come pretty late in this trick. |
