I have an idea, could i use a skate deck with ductape?

I have and old skateboard deck and i was thinking getting some ductape and wraping the thing in it so it had a foam like top and was a little concave and round on the edges would this work ok for a while. and what about speed i still dont no what speed to go at

most skateboard decks are thinner than wakeskates.... and probably less bouyant
in which case you may need to go faster so as not to sink...

I just recently wakeskated for the 1st time (last Friday) and loved it so keep in mind...I don't know Jack/Jill about wakeskating.

What I do know is...
I've had skateboard decks warp from occassional rain exposure over time so I'd imagine the same thing would happen (only quicker due to the full submersion of the board and possible penetration of water through the duct tape) with your suggested design. If you're okay with that, give it a go and post some pics of its test run. Could be fun.

you would have to go at least 30 to stay on top of the water, but its possible, ive seen it done...go for it.
