Just tried wakeboarding yesterday for the first time and loved it. looking to buy some equipment and was wondering if a brand new CWB Prodigy 140 for $169 and CWB Krux bindings for $139 would be a good board for 5'10" 200 pound beginner. I'm an avid snowboarder if that makes a difference, it did help me get up real fast on the wakeboard and at least enjoy the day.

Most of the major manufacturers have charts for what size board you should be riding based on height and weight, so I would consult those. I would probably go a little bigger than 140 if you're 200 lbs, but 140 will work if that's what's available. You can look for package deals or last year's models to save you some money, but the $310 you mentioned is about the best you can expect for a board/binding combo.
The CWB Prodigy 140 is listed as a intermediate/advanced board. Could be a bit of a learning curve to learn on but you might be fine. That board is for riders 150 Lbs. and up so you should be just fine. You're getting it at a good price since the MSRP for the CWB Prodigy 140 (it's a 2005 model if it has a blue CWB on the bottom with a black base and graph lines on it with a green top with yellowish graph lines on it and some dude running towards you) was $465.00.
