BoardShorts??? Help

I'm about to buy my first pair of board shorts. Probably Fox or ONeill and I am looking for some recommendations. Do they usually have the mesh lining inside them for support? I hate nut-slaps, and don't think I could handle nothing "helping out". Do you guys wear boxers when you board? Give me the low down.

im going to start wearing a thong under my shorts. so when i pass a boat full of people, i can drop the drawers and expose myself, without actually exposing myself. Laughing

jryoung, kinda what I was thinking.

I prefer to wear nothing underneath but I have lost weight so some of my older shorts won't stay up w/out boxers underneath. And if I find shorts that I like but are a little big, then I gotta wear something underneath but like I said, I prefer nothing.

This year I'm trying something different, i'm gonna get a speedo or jammers or whatever they call em and wear em under my boardshorts, I figure they'll dry faster then boxers

the under armor boxers do not dry that quickly. however, they are better than cotton boxers. i just commando it. a good slap to the nuts or an enema is a nice way to know you are still alive. Shocked

I wear polypropylene tighty whities (used for backpacking/hiking). No ball slap and dry extremely quick.

It's not rocket science just buy a pair of boardshort and when you try them on if there comfortable buy them if not try on a different pair.

after taking a big fall i slapped my nuts so hard i vomited ( i have no idea how they r still there) anyway next time i went out riding my friend bought me some Fuel wakeboarding pants as a joke. i wore them lol, they r like tight boxers made out of like light wesuite material, since wearing these pants under my boardies i have not had one nut slap.

"britches" haha for a second there i was excited.
i used to wear boxers under my board shorts but when im out on the boat for so long the swampass gets unbareable so i dont where anything underneath anymore. if you're unlucky enough to get your nuts smacked so hard that you throw up then so be it... Shocked

i got boxers from cozumel that are almost like swimshorts. and i got these sick bob marley shorts so i just wear those. and then when i get out. use a towel
