| should be the same as getting up behind a boat...? it is for me anyway, i guess if you have a less powerful jet ski you could have problems, but it really shouldnt be that much of an issue. you could try a dock start if you want. i do have one tip for you though. if you just floor it like you would on a boat, depending on the rope length you could get hit by a wall of water while trying to get up. thats no fun |

As long as it goes. Not like you really want to be any closer to that 'wall of water' than you need to be. And, the wake gets better the further back you are. _________________ "It's always advisable to remain silent and appear stupid, than to speak and remove all doubt..." |

| It is ALOT harder to get up behind a jetski, because there is not nearly enough power to give you a start quick enough like behind a boat. I recently tried getting up on a 127 makeshift wakeskate, and I strained my abs because it was so hard (I am 6.5", 170 lbs). You just have to stick with it and hold on for your life. |

GoWakeboard,
You may want to try tetting up the alternate way with your board pointing up and kind of standing on it. |

its the same as a boat you just gotta know the dynamics of getting on plane, a boat with a tower pulls you up where as a waverunner pulls you forward so you need to make sure you tilt ur board so it hydroplanes out of the water, it helps to get pulled up real slow do you get used to it _________________ i dont like people playin on my phone...i keeps it real |

It should be the same for wave runners and boats.
However if you are shallow starting, you might wanna consider a deep water start. Should put less strain on the engine. _________________ http://www.learnwake.com/amember/go.php?r=253&i=l1 |

getting up behind a jetski should be the same as behind a boat but it is a little harder. i have done it hundreds of times behind both jetski and boat. i've done dock starts, sitting on a dock, with my board underneath me underwater, and the old tradtional style _________________ rest easy my friend
