is a three stage THAT much of a difference in pop as opposed to a continuous? I'm about to get a 3 stage board (yes on my profile it already says I have it) but I need to know is it worth the monies-- I have about 900 saved up to buy a new board, bindings, and a board bag.
Ive been looking at the Liquid Force PS3 133 with Hyperlite Murray Bindings. all '06. thanks. I'm 5'11" and 160 pounds. |

** I am also looking at a Watson 134 w/ liquid force transit bindings, all '06. I've looked into hyperlite too, mostly at Murray '06 line.
??? any suggestions? I want something that will be good for me for at least a year or two. Probably a pro model. |

yea, if i were you i would look at the PS3 137, and the Watson 138. Unless you like shorter boards like NorthwestRider said. _________________ Wake Forest University |

| you can't get a PS3 or watson, look at your username. once you commit to a brand in your username, you can never go back. |

First of all a 133 is way short for you, as has been said. For sure go with the 137 or 141. I'm only about 145 and ride the 41. Unless you're spinning a ton the extra length is all gold...more pop, more speed, more stability.
As far as pop goes a three-stage DOES NOT have more pop, it has different pop. Watch Murray, Sharp, Shapiro or Benny G. ride and it's obvious that a continuous board can have plenty of pop. What a three-stage rocker does is give a more vertical pop. Assuming everything else is constant a continuous rocker board will be smoother, turn quicker and give you more distance. A three-stage board will be more abrupt, less consistant, harder landing, and will get more height. How fast the board is depends on your riding style. I ride pretty nose heavy so a continuous board is quicker for me. If you ride tail heavy a three-stage will be quicker. _________________ Why Vegan? |

I said I have 900 saved up, good god I wouldn't spend that much. I wouldn't spend more than 400 for the board and ~350 for the bindings. |
