My dad has a bunch of rewards points at Bass Pro Shop and they have a nice 137 Oasis w/ Link bindings that we could get for about $220 with the rewards points taken off. Would it be a decent board to get started on? I'm just starting, got up for my first time on my dad's friend's liquid force evolution 138 (older version) yesterday and I was cutting back and forth after only a couple of rides (I've never really skated or anything before either)

anyway, is the Oasis a good board or should I avoid it?

yea dude, i think for beginning you really can't go horribly wrong, the only thing is the board is probably alot better than the bindings, most package deals with a good board they slap bad bindings on it, once you more advanced and start buying more expensive stuff, don't go package deals without researching the bindings first

Thanks, yeah actually I did get it, and theough I havent tried it actually boarding yet, I tried them on in the tub (yes I know, very bored) and they were very comfortable bindings, nice n snug and didn't hurt my feet, but of course I can't give the full test on them until I hit the lake, possibly wednesday.

I have that board and bindings. I love the board but i need bigger bindings. Road on it for a summer so far its good for surface tricks and ollies. W2w is nothing much farther than that since is was only one summer. But i like the board and i only need bigger bindings.
