So my shop had to cancel some of our order of gatorboards so I am stuck getting a hyperlite.....
I know what I want in my board. I would like it to be more of a wake to wake kind of board. That being said, I know the 3ds is a kind of a more into the flats kind of board. But I've ridden every other board on the hyperlite line and don't really want any of them. How does the 3ds do on mellower wakes? My wake is not a steep wake. How fast is it? Is it going to gain speed easily into the wake? I am riding a gatorboard harris 143 right now. So I want a bit of contrast to that. So I have one board that will take me into the flats and go big with(harris), and another smaller board that I can use for learning tricks, is forgiving and I can spin with(3ds?). _________________ www.nationsfoundation.org

If your looking to spin with a board then go with a fish, since you prolly know you ride em 10cm shorter = less board to spin.
I rode the 3ds and its a fast charging board that'll take you into the flats, on that note I settled for an Obrien Player, it's a 3 stage, but it's got some speed to it so if you want to go out to the flats, it will take you there, or you can just pop with it and it's a solid w2w board |

NorthwestRider,
I rode the 3DS earlier this year and loved it. It had a nice lock into the edge, and wouldn't come out from you. This is what I wanted too. It edged really fast and i almost got a W2W with it. |

| The 3DS is the stuff. I ride a 05 139. Throws you out into the flats and its capable of getting some sick pop. I could check my watch and take a look around before I land if i wanted. It's aggressive, fast nice landings, just a Bubb Rubbing sweet board all around. It's fun. |

| If you have to buy a hyperlite and are looking to do more w2w manuevers, the 3ds is not the right board. A premier would be much more up your alley. If you are into the 3ds design, then i would check out the jstar empire (rusty's board). It is basically a 3ds with a three stage rocker. For gator boards, the militant would be a very good wake to wake board as well |

Yea, its a sick board, but why would you have both a natural and player, they are esentially the same board, unless one you use for sliders |

| I have ridden the 3ds for a while now and am very happy with it. My riding consists of a lot of wake to wake spins, grabs, and tech stuff, and I think it does great. I like that it is fast, which allows me to take an easy cut into the wake, but it still gives a good vertical pop when I hit it. The landing are soft too, which is always good. I rode a balance and a substance before the 3DS, and after a short adjustment period I am very comfortable on it and happy with the pop. I do most of my riding behind a sanger v210 and an 06 X-star, just to let you know what type of wake I use it on. Hope that helps, let me know if you have any other questions. |
