I've been having a lot of trouble with slack in my rope when im cutting into the wake what causes this? all i can think of is that im cutting to fast to far out and the rope doesnt have time to stay taught does anyone else have or had this problem? I didnt have the problem a couple of times today though just started landing jumps wake to wake and those where they only times the slack didnt kill me i dont quite remember what i was doing though. Anyone else hate it when you wanna go try something but you're like 2 hours from any water to try it? drives meh nuts

uhh i guess it's just momentum that slacks the rope but it's normal i think, and yes i hate not being able to walk out side and try it... but I'm not 2 hours away, more like 30 minutes, but still

once you edge outside, wait a second to get the slack out before you come back towards the wake.

This is because you are not using a progressive edge. Once you cut out to your desired distance, SLOWLY transition into your cut in. As you are cutting in, slowly increase the intensity of the cut and then be sure to hold the cut as long as you can, and explode off of the wake. Basically what JPminter said.

Yeah, for me it's about 25 yards, maybe a little less.
