background:

i ride behind a tritoon pontoon boat.... with a big dual opposing blade prop... it has an i/o 350 horsepower corvette engine.. Twisted Evil it holds about 40 gallons of gas also in the rear along with the engine its pretty weighed down in the rear for that.
there is a like a mini bilge (metal compartment under the boat) where the engine is so there isn't just 3 pontoons straight up and down.. so im thinking if i get a single fatsac and stick it on the swimplatform that it will sink the ass of the boat and make a bigger wake...

i know my progressive eding sucks and im not good yet.. this is my first year of actually getting up everytime..last year was 50/50. Razz

also the rope i have ive been told is too long for the wake im using now.. i got it at the shortest cuff.. its a straight line thermal line.

well sorry for rambling.. please watch the video and tell me what you guys think... ive learnt a lot from the forums so far. Wink

first of all, that site sucks for vid hosting. try a better free site, like putfile.com, youtube.com, or even myspace.

couldnt play it...

youtube and myspace re-encode it and makes it look like crap.
but heres an older youtube video.. same basic idea.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8vfp9XPQdzQ

at 12-15mph there is a sick wake... bigger then most ski boats. but once we go like 18-20 it dies out.
so i know it can be achieved... its not a normal pontoon boat. Twisted Evil

dude the video is going at 20mph.. like i said its almost flat at that speed...
and i can still get like 3ft of air... even with my crappy technique. Razz
i know the wake is never going to be as good as a decent wakeboard boat..

i guess no1s ever tried to make a wake from this type of boat.
ill have to be the first guinea pig. Laughing and see if i can make it produce something.

its cool that your trying to get a nice wake, but a fat sack in the back wont do anything. the boat sits on pontoons, so no matter how low you get the back it wont do anything for the wake. i hate to say its a lost cause, but i wouldnt go the fat sack route... keep tryin though, you look like you have a knack for the sport, just try and get yourself behind a speed boat. if not, hey, why not try a wakeskate? Very Happy

w2w motive, you bring up good issues and i thank you.
i was going to buy a fatsac or 2 and see what it got me but i think ill just mess around till i can get a buttload of fat people on the boat to see if that makes a difference..

no sense in buying fatsacs unless i know for sure it will make a difference.
other then that im having a blast behind it. Very Happy Smile Surprised Shocked Cool

i agree with _Jason_, but hey, mess around with the wake, see if you can create yourself a wall of water to launch off of.

You did not get 3 feet of air at any point of that video. Also, I can understand your dilema, you have NO wake. Also, putting weight into a pontoon will not help, unless you want to put about 1000lbs of ballast/fat sack and then put it at it's maximum amount of people. I HIGHLY reccomend that if you want to become serious about wakeboarding that you sell your pontoon and then get a ski boat.
