What the heck? I thought we put these guys to rest? USA Today (ok, take that with a grain of salt) ran a front page article today about a reemerging taliban, claiming that they run a portion of the villages still, and that they are becomming a nuisance again.

What? What is the deal?

I wonder how accurate that is, the article. I also would be pretty pissed off that the Afghanis were allowing this to happen. If the let the Taliban get a foothold and don't help themselves, F EM.

(except that we need to have no taliban because they harbor terrorists) but I say that if the Afghans don't poney up and protect their own democracy, then we drop the pretense that we are doing anything for them and get the job done right.
