I just got a pair of the Torq's today and I wanted to know how easy it is to come out of the bindings when you fall. I must say they are pretty snug. I've been ripped out before on my old bindings and it probley saved me from injury. Anybody have a comment on this? _________________ I love the smell of napalm in the morning |

I have the zeus, and have yet to have a fall where my feet have come out. But I have only ridden them once so far. _________________ |

| I have them, (this is my first board CWB sol 141) I let my friends ride it after using their own boards. It hurts more when you catch your heelside edge at speed in these because you dont come out. I rode with regular lace ups and it felt better falling- not that falling feels good. |

Darin,
They are great. The Hyperlite compared them to Hyperlites state line, but i personally don't think so. The bindings fit very good, and are snug in the right places. The landings are also good. You'll love the hinge tech. |

I've come out of my Zeus' once. Perfect pass was broken, shitty driver paying more attention to chicks on the boat than rider pulled me through some chop at 27 mph and I caught my toe edge...came right out of the bindings. I've had some harder falls where I stayed in...but that was definitely the hardest edge I've caught. Nice to know you can come out of that binding when you really catch an edge.
BTW, the overlay on the Zeus is VERY tight, and the bindings were laced up tight when I came out. |

I can almost assure you that coming out of your old bindings did not prevent any injuries. The worst thing that can happen to you when wakeboarding is to have one foot come out of the binding. The second worst thing that can happen to you is keeping your leg straight when you land, which will injure your knee even if you have on wake sandle straps. So, you really DO NOT want to come out of your bindings.
As far as the hinge tech, My experience is that the Zeus bindings will hold your foot in on almost all falls. If you do take a really gnarly fall, usually HS or TS edge diggers, then you will come out (of both usually). _________________ When all is said and done...More will be said than done. |

| I just got the Factions and had quite a bit of trouble with the hinge coming unlatched while I was riding. I tightened the cables and still had the same problem. Has anyone else experienced this or know what the problem is? |

Thanks everybody. I rode the torqs for the first time yesterday and i took a pretty hard TS fall and only one foot came out and from what i read that is not good. But Darin, I would reccomend these. they are so comfortable and get a lot of support. You don't need water to get your feet in upon entry. I love them. And they are flexible also. I head some complains on the zeus that they are too stiff? the torqs really hold your feet in good. I even put my feet in the bindings on the ride to miami marine stadium because it was lightning like crazy and i felt safe with them on. later _________________ I love the smell of napalm in the morning |

I just bought the factions last week and my left binding keeps poppin' loose anytime I land hard on a jump. I tried tightening the hinge with one complete turn of each eye and it still does it. I'm going to tighten it again before my next run and hopefully that will fix it. Other than the hinge problem, the bindings are sweet. I'll try tightening them a couple more times, and if that doesn't work, they're going back to where I got 'em. |
