Ordered this sucker yesterday.
After doing much research about weighting my boat, driving with people in different spots, etc, I decided on this product.
I plan to make the ballast system for my boat hidden and contemplated all sorts of ways to add tanks under the front 3 seat cushions. I feel for $240 this product will fit my needs.
They are rated at anywhere from 500-1200 pounds depending on how large the area is, I am figuring with my boat I can get about 500# of water up there.
I got the Tsunami pump for it for now, eventually I will build a complete hidden pump system, plumbing and wiring with through hull pickup.
I can't wait to get this sucker installed and running in time for this weekend....
this is one expensive sport!
Boat: 02 Bayliner Capri LX 195 (18'-10"), 4.3L Merc, 4 blade aluminum 19 pitch 14.5 prop.....
Now to save up for that high 5 prop!
Anyone tell me how long the hand held Tsunami pump will take (approx) to fill/drain this sucker? plugs into the 12v cig socket right? |

It works awesome.
I got the bag and the pump last Friday.
tested it Sunday morning, it fits in the bow of my boat just about perfect.
The bag is larger then the space I have under my front 3 seats (open bow) but it doesnt matter.
This bag is designed to work in any open bow, and would fit even better (more water) in a larger boat.
It would also be possible to place the bag on top of my 3 seat cushions and fill it completely. It is rated at 800+# when completely full.
The Tsunami pump fills the bag in like 3 minutes, empties just about the same.
I am impressed! I would guestimate 350# or so of water now fits in my bow, makes a HUGE difference with the way the boat drives and pulls you out of the water. The wake does seem different but the lake was pretty crowded and choppy (fathers day) so I will get a better chance to play with the trim, etc later.
Now for some weight in the back.......
Super happy with this product! |
