what do you guys tell people who are just learning to wakeboard that get stuck on there heel side edge everytime they get up. This girl that's been coming out with us keeps doing this. I've told her to try and rotate the rope around to her side/hip, to let go with her back hand to get a feel for riding sideways, etc. etc. So what now, she is just totally uncomfortable being neutral on the board and not hasn't even come close to a toe side edge yet.

Got any pointers I could give her?

Do you mean that she brings her back foot out so the board isn't travelling in line with the boat like it should be?

Holding on to the rope with one hand is a good start, and slow the boat down the speed scares a lot of newbies.

Try to get her to make small cuts within the wake simply by leaning against the rope.

But slow the boat speed down and put her on a longer rope (more space between the wakes) and practice.

Good luck.

my wife rides goofy and was having problems gettin out toeside until she started letting go of the rope with one hand. now she gets way out in the flats and drags her free hand in the water for "style".
