Now that I have your attention I need some help. I need any advice on building a floating slider that is 30-40 foot long, and a ride on. Here are some specific questions:

How long?

What will it cost?

What angle for ride on section?

What material? (this is budget).

What do I float it with? (If it's barrels, where do I get it and how much do the cost?)

Also if anyone has pics of sliders liek this, or plans, or jus pics of floater designs lemme know. Hopefully I'll have a diagram of my plan coming soon. Thanks, Greg

Here is what I would do
1. 35 feet on the top and then do 4-5 foot lang ramps up and down
2. Estimate 500
4.Green treat lumber with Trex on the top (remember to get it wet)
5. Try to get some plastic 55 gallon drums you can get these chep at a paint shop or a body shop

What is the difference of trex to PVC pipe? I already have free PVC...should i just use this if I want to be on a tight budget?

If you already have free PVC pipe then I would use it. Just make sure you put two pipes side by side. The trex is nice but it costs a lot so if you are on a tight bubget I would defianantly use the PVC. Good Luck

I have 3 3 inch PVC pipes....can i put 3 side by side? Would that be easier or just plain pointless? This is my first slider so I am going for it to be pretty easy so I just figured 3 would be best. I also wonder about the PVC needing to be wet or do I need some sorta wax on it so it would slide better. I really dont want to hit it first and not slide at all because i've never even been on a grind before...thanks!
