I am looking to buy the CWB Marius 134 and i was wondering is a continuous rocker better for a starter???

Probably. You wouldn't really need a 3 stage until you start jumps and stuff.

BeachBum08, yes you will. There are advanced boards that have a continuous rocker, for example the LF Team.

And the CWB Marius!!!

The continuous rocker, is a bit faster on the water but the jumps aren't as smooth and the landings are a bit rougher.

Try demoing boards with both 3 stage and continuous and see what suits your style of riding best.

ok, some advice... the marius is a really advanced board and one of the best on the market. if you are just starting out and are not throwing whirrlybirds or crowmobes, stick to a continuous rocker such as an obrien rail. they cost a lot less and edge fine for beginners. the marius is a little tough to controll because the central fins combined with the side fins. it was made to meet trevor hansens needs and he is one of the most aggressive riders out there. anyway, if u end up with the marius, sick choice and tell me how it rides. peace
