Disclaimer, I'm no pro, and have no desire to be one. I've never ridden behind an inboard wakeboard boat. The best wake I've ridden on was a 21 foot I/O, and I was plenty happy with that. I know an I/O won't compare to the pro boats, but I just want a good all around boat that can handle some chop and will see some ocean use(mostly intercoastal, maybe go open water fishing/cruising on nicer days).

So that being said, how's the wake behind a cobalt 190. Very Happy

I was kind of leaning towards something a few feet bigger to handle chop better and maybe throw a larger wake, but I've found a great deal on a 19' late 90's Cobalt. Would it throw a respectable wake(for an I/O) trimmed up with some weight?

Thanks for the help.

yeah.. In a cobalt you probally wont have to worry about a rough ride.. those are like the best I/o s out there...but yep get a tower and you can try pullin the trim up some and see how that does.. it might work , or it might. i rode behind a sea ray for a year till a got a wakeboard boat but my main proballem with them was the speed and trin to keep a clean nice wake.. but ull love it i think if your not looking to relly get serious about the sport, but ull be able to do w2w and spins and things but they are relly nice boats
