My family and I left Friday night to go out to the Shuswap to pick up the boat and take it to the cabin. That thing was so dirty when we brought it back. The whole hull was just covered in mud, so I sprayed it like hell with a hose until it was pretty clean and yeah you probably don't care... Anyways, the next morning, we put everything back together and back in and found the wood on the inside of the bimini cover had rotted, so there's the next project.
Once the battery was installed, dad and I launched it and tried to start it, but it wouldn't start. So after 15 minutes of turning the key in the ignition, the engine just wouldn't turn over and then finally it did.
After working on the cabin's deck for a while, my family finally decided to go out and ride. We couldn't have picked a better time! The water was just glass, and on a huge ass lake like the Shuswap it's not too common. I dove off the back of the boat and HOLY CRAP IT WAS COLD (I can swear my balls are somewhere up in my stomach now).
I did a few surf carves and then decided to try and w2w. After skateboarding for like 3 hours a day it's a huge change. I tried like 2 or 3 times before finally getting out into the flats, and then did some grabs. Man, I sucked . Every W2W I did I landed on my ass or pretty much flipped My sister went and had an awesome faceplant right off the start and she didn't go for a whole lot longer because it was bloody cold.
Mom wanted to go back because it was getting a little choppy and you could feel rollers coming, so we went back. It was a great day, and awesome water Now we have the boat sitting in the driveway waiting for its brand spankin' new stereo system
Oh yea sorry... No pics forgot the camera.... _________________
