Yes, every Australian hates him.
Nobody here even knew who the hell he was until recently, when we heard Americans were going crazy over him.

It was a commercial to promote tourism for Australia. Crocodile Dundee guy was the one who made that comment.
"We'll put another shrimp on the Barbie for ya..." something like that.

CM- Yeah they're like shrimp on 'roids Laughing
Abalone!!!! I miss that stuff. Can't get that stuff nowadays here in the states without it costing all your limbs. There's been a 15yr moratorium along the California Coast from Monterey to San Diego banning any Abalone harvesting Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad so they can replenish.

I hate poachers!

For something a little different, try abs in sweet and sour sauce. Or mashed and made into patties.

The best Aussie beer has to be Boags Premium. Not just because it comes from Tassie, but it tastes bloody good.

As for the Croc Hunter - bring back the Leyland Brothers!!!

You can tell you're a northerner, Cascade is Mad Boags is Razz

As you age, your taste refine. Plus I now have a job where I can actually afford the stuff.

So where is your port of call?

Ohhhhhhh! Thats a low blow Very Happy

My drink of choice is Corona, and at $63.00 dollars a carton it makes Boags Premium look cheaper than Goon.

Port of call: Well, I currently live in Hobart, which makes it difficult to ride all the time, but both Skwake and I hail from the East Coast (Swansea), where we learnt to ride. We still head up/down that way and hit the Swan River whenever we can.

Yeah, but I bet you don't always have a ready supply in the fridge.

I am a Lonnie local, but I actually learnt to ride at New Norfolk, and have done a heap of wake surfing behind my 'Cruiser along the East Coast beaches. Most of my riding is done at the dam or out at Longford, with the occasional trip to Barrington.

Got 12 chillin' for me at home as we speak! Very Happy

We will have to organise some sort of Tassie wakeboarding weekend. If you read WAKE mag you might have seen our slider and kicker in one of the last issues (Either Watkins or O'Shea cover, I forget), located at the Swan, and we are keen to get some footage of local riders using them.

Phantom DB brown and Lion Red are from NZ where they make real beer. I think Steve Irwin is a fair dimkum one top ausy. Most people don't realise most of the vast money he makes goes into setting up nature reserves and protecting endangered animals. He is a top bloke I would be totally proud if he was a kiwi.

His work with endangered species is great! He is just putting it all on a bit for the American audience. Remember, nobody here even knew who the hell he was until his movie came out...

Nick: I didn't get any stubbie holder!

Ralph, I suppose it is only fair if we give you Steve Irwin. we claim most of you celebs as ours anyway - Split Enz, Russel, etc. I think Steve is a fair trade.....
As for being a top environmentalist, he is way up there, but as a true Aussie, ZI think we can do a bit better.

I do have to agree that DB is a great drop

Nick, Boags is heaps better than XXXX Razz

CM, Sounds like a plan Idea . Who knows, we could even end up with a Tasmania comp or something really rediculous like that.
What do you need the stubbie holder for. Coronas don't fit cause they are too skinny........... Very Happy
