Please help. It is a Boss 210, how much is to much for this boat. Any one who has had one let me know. My recomendation says 1550 total. Right now I have a 450lb sack in the trunk, and about 200-250lb in the front. When the back is full it doesn't want to plane but with the weight in the front it wants to take on water when going over wakes. If anyone knows a good set up for this boat let me know.

With mine.. which is a direct drive w/ski locker (190 plus), I fit 750lbs in the back locker and in the bow I like to use around 600lbs.

Also, taking on water is just apart of having a boat. There are ways to avoid it, such as turning the boat more perpendicular to avoid bow-wake collisions. But its part of putting a substacial amount of weight in your boat. Wink

I've got an older B-52, I believe those are pretty close to the same boat (is yours a vdrive?)

Anyway, I put 600 in the nose and 800 a side in the rear, but that is probably easier since the rear is built into the hull. I have, however, figured out that fully weighting the rear (1600) and getting the front sack tight (2200 lbs total) with a couple people on the left to balance out the driver-heavy load puts a wake out that makes people very, very happy Smile Crisp, clean, rampy but not too much so, firm as hell, solid lip, and that much weight, given good water conditions, will usually get rid of the second lip on the right side as well.

Good luck!

No mine is a DD. But I seem to have to go a little faster to get it to plane with more weight in the back. Anyway thanks for the input.

I have a '99 210V. Weighting these boats will pretty much work like any other boat. I put around 400lbs total of sand and lead in the front split up under the bow seats and in the floor compartment. Then I usually add a few more sandbags under the passenger seat to balance out for the driver and the prop wash. This is critical, if the wake is uneven it wont get near as big as it will when balanced side to side. Then I put a sac on each side in the rear totalling another 1000 lbs or so.

I'm sure you have plenty of horsepower and your bow sits as high as most other 21 foot boats. You just have to get used to the weight. Probably the safest thing for now for you is to put a few sandbags in the floor and put a sac in the back. That will give you a pretty good wake.
