i got a 16ft. trihull with a outboard sitting in the back yard, so my kid ask me if i would fix it up and take them wakeboarding last week. ok here's my ? has anyone got any pics of tri hulls that are setup or do u know any links to them besides the one made out of all the lumber(pretty clever if un ask me though) i want to get it to where they can atleast get the basics down before we go out and buy a wake boat. their young and i don't want them to just go through a phaase then i'm stuck with a 20,000 $ boat. the boat is a 80's model and i'm good with a welder so a tower would be no problem, i could add weight to the boat with sacs as there riding improved right. any help with pics is great thank you.

There's still a lot of fun left in your tri-hull. No it's not a wakeboat but....ALL of the basic skills can be learned behind it - surface tricks, riding switch, even going wake to wake. If it were me, I'd hold what you got for this season and think about the wakeboat next, maybe get your kids (and yourself) a lesson/pull behind a "real" wakeboat so they/you know what it's all about.

You can try loading the boat full of people to see what that does to the wake size/shape. I doubt I'd invest time/money in a tower but that'd have to be your call based on your cost of materials.

But the answer t othe question about whether you'd take your kids wakeboarding is always YES and you need to get in the water as well - this IS a family sport Very Happy

Have a great weekend, oh and welcome to the party

I have built a tower for my tri hull. I just finished it last night. I have not got any pics of the tower finished. Here are the last pictures I have . There has been bracing add and then It was painted. I have only about $200.00 invested in this tower. I am lucky that I am a plumber and had most of the tube extra from a job. email me if you have any questions. RyanH.LCS@gmail.com
