Well my mom just got our boat fixed after 3 years off the water, its a outboard but i dont really know anything more about it but its fixed now so im thinking of getting a wakeboard. Im hoping to get board + bindings for under $300 US. Ive never wakeboarded in my life so im a uber beginner but I used to snowboard and skate if that helps lol. What do you all think is the best beginner board for under 300?

Best bet would be to buy used. Check out the classifieds here or go to http://endofropegang.com to look more locally. Hope this helps.

Hey Gsr2k6,

Anna, huh...check out DCWake.com

Yeah, buy a used board, bindings MUST fit comfortably and yes, your snowboard/skate expereince will help you, snowboard is more about front weight, wakeboard your weight is centered over the board.

Any board that's middle-of-the road will work nicely - DON'T rush out and buy a Parks like I did! There are several "board finder" utilities allowing you to input your weight and height to give you an idea of board size...scan some of the other threads and see what's been suggested - Hyperlite Motive is always a good choice but all the companies have great product these days

If you can, take a lesson
