Well i have started jumping. but i just cant clear the wake. my dad said that i look better and land smoother when i dont try to jump i just cut toeside into the wake and bend my knees a little. vs. cutting and trying to pull my knees up. any tips would be appreciated.  |

| It's not speed that will get you to clear the wake. I can clear the wake with hardly any effort. You need to use a progressive edge. This means that you should begin to edge lightly and as you get closer to the wake, edge harder and harder. This is to make sure you have a lot of tension on the rope when you hit the wake. When you hit the wake you need to stand tall to get a good "pop". See the tips section on this website for more info. |

Hey DDOUBLEUP,
As jpminter, says, it's about progresive edge....you're not jumping anything! you're being popped off the top of the wake due to tension built up in the rope - just stand tall, but you MUST build up the line tension first...read/watch the trick tips....
It takes a while, but just keep at it...do you have access to an instructor/lesson? It'll be VERY benificial, guaranteed _________________ just broad reachin' thru life... |
