Rope Question

I just ordered a new rope and its shortest length with the handle is 70 ft. What is the best way to tie off some length? Thanks.

Why order a rope longer than you wanted?

i agree with beeman but since you did cut it, splice it together and make to loops, tie 2 slips knots, a square knot, tons of ways to do it just make sure that it can hold all the pressure your going to need on the rope

Here is a good discussion on this. I use P hat in the Cities Method. Works good, and does not put a single knot in your rope.
