A friend of mine just told me about a new horn loaded compression driver tower speaker. The company is called wet sounds. I went to the website and they look pretty bad a$$. Just wondering if anyone had any or has heard theme. They look solid the components look great they use a fiberglass blend for the cone instead of the paper like alot of the diy guys are doing. I was thinking of the diy but didn't want to use a paper cone. any way just looking for some imput. the website is www.wetsounds.com

I've been waiting for that site to come up. I heard these at an even in Ausitn , Texas in October, They sound amazing. Loud and very clear. I was standing on a dock a good 200+ feet away and the music sounded great. They are very lightweight comparded to similar setups, the guys who own the company designed them from the ground up. They did a great job IMO. I currently run the NVS 1010's on my tower. My only issue like I've said before is the weight of them.

I have the NVS 1010s too. What's the weight difference between the wetsounds and the 1010s?

Don't knwo the exact difference but it' significant.....hodlign one after the other I'd say the wetsoudns 485 pods are a good 10-15 lbs lighter. IT makes sense wetsoudns uses an injection molded plastic enclosure compared to the aluminum of the NVS

Here's another option in a single gel coat enclosure. You can check my profile if you are interested in more information.

Here's another one with a little more bling! The loaded weight is about 50 lbs.
