should have bought a smaller board. a 143 is way too big if your only 165. how tall are you?
also, are you really a "noob" cause fo you are, you probably should have gotten a continuos rocker.
that being said, go out there and give it a shot. rige what ya got, and have fun. as far as getting up, it shouldnt be too different. _________________ http://www.myspace.com/muxpux

for a beginner board it should be fine.. and theres really no magic trip to get up and get good.. you just need to get out there and keep doing it till you get it right.
start real slow launches, stay low, once planing turn so the front of the board is facing the boat and slowly stand up. once up go faster so you dont sink.. |

i'm in my second yr at this and i too am a noob. the board looks fine and looks like a good price. the key is to really work on feeling comfy on the board. once u learn your surface moves and catch some air u will know what u need and where to find it. this site has helped me alot too, and yea i guess skating will help ya but, the water can hurt just as much as the pavement sometimes. Just have the ballz to get back up and ride again once u faceplant about 50 times.... _________________ it's like a sore d*$@k ya just can't beat it! |
