Just got my new TV. 55 " Hitatchi LCD, HDTV, blah, blah, blah. Any how I have it above the fireplace in the built in and I want to build a pullout "lazy susan" type shelf for it. I know I can get the roller tracks for the pull out but does anyone know where I can get the "swivel" hardware? I dont even know what to call it except "swivel" hardware. Any help appreciated, Thanks

I think what you might be looking for is a lazy susan bearing. That is the only thing like that that I can think of, so I hope that works for you.

not your everyday wb.com topic, but what the hell...

my TV is on one of those - and it's suprisingly simple... it just has about 8 rollers spaced in a star formation around the center "pin". In the center it's just a friction cup basically about 2" in diameter with a metal dowel-type thing that keeps it centered while it rotates on the rollers. No fancy bearings or anything like that - they'd be much more expensive if you find one that's strong enough to also hold and balance the weight. With the rollers outward, they also support all the weight pretty evenly across the table.

Yes our tv is in the corner on one so it's nice. Pull it out of the cabinet some and turn it toward you. Also nice to have the doors slide in when you open them up. Gets them out of the way.

Thanks all for the replies. Definately not your normal wb.com topic but everyone in this forum seems "unusally" gifted at making thier own, less expensive versions of just about anything. Based on what I have seen I looks like I will need 2 platforms, one to hold the pull out rails and one to hold the swivel. tmbrown, thanks for the description I should be able easily manufature something similer to what you have just on a bigger scale, luckily the TV weighs about 105 lbs so I wont need the "monster" hardware. All the help much appreciated.
