Well after ordering my boat nearly 5 months ago I finally got the boat home where she belongs.
It wasn't with out difficulty though. Every boat I've brought home has been a little bit of a pain to get into the garage for the first time. After we figure out which hitch to use and angle it needs to go in it's clear sailing.
I Changed three different hitches and it didn't seem to make a difference in the height of the tower when it was folded down. Because of my angle into the garage the new MC tower doesn't fold down the greatest. I clipped the last part of the frame so I'll have to make some modifications to the door I guess. Had to chase some rift raft out of the boat a couple of times as well. You just can't leave anything on the street.

As I posted on the other board it looks awesome.... Tight in the garage like my old set up. I forgot to mention and not sure if you thought about letting air out of the tires. I used to just let 20lbs out of the tires and it made an extra few inches of clearance and with a cheap air compresser it is easy to pump back up when you roll out....
I agree you can't leave that beuty outside |

The '05's are awesome. Billet dash, spinning racks, new vinyl, throttle...that boat's decked. Beautiful colors, too.
If you can always wad up a towel to put between the tower and sundeck.
Nice boat, congrats! |

How deep is your garage?
I was hoping my 01 X would fit into my co-owner's garage but his garage is only 20x20 so we haven't tried it yet. _________________ So, I've got that goin' for me...which is nice! |

The garage is about 21 feet wide and about 21 feet deep as well. 20x20 is going to be tight but it should fit because these boats are pretty narrow at the stern. I was looking at a 22V from Tige and it would have fit but just barely, so I ultimately went with the boat that would be less of a hastle to get into the garage. (the Tige is very wide as well)
I probably have about a foot to go in the back and the garage door clearance at the bow is about 2-3 inches. The platform has to come off everytime for sure.
You may have to do something with your guide posts though as they will be the widest part of the boat at the back.
Once you figure out how to get the boat inside, spray down some lines where the tires are and shoot for that spot ever other time.
Good luck. |

Bambamski, Thanks for the info. We'll give it try sometime because it's getting old having to clean out the boat from tree leaves and crap. _________________ So, I've got that goin' for me...which is nice! |

Why did it take 5 months to get? I ask because we ordered an X-30 and its already a month behind when the dealer said we would have it. |

ap1, probably because there is a demand for all kinds of these boats so they have a massive list of boats to build, they have a set quota of boats to sell but if that goes over it will take more time to make.
you wont be dissapionted when you finally get your boat and realize that it was worth the wait |

Nice boat...
I like the carpet idea behind the rear tie down straps.
I just picked up a 2003 X-2 and the previous owner had the straps going to the swimplatfrom brackets.....I don't think thats a good idea. _________________ "Was it over when the germans bombed pearl harbor" --Animal house.

Wow this an old thread. I don't know how that parks picture got in there. I didn't put it in. I'm wondering if someone called a pic the same name that I had in there and it replaced my pic? I have no idea.
I ordered the boat in October but didn't need the boat until April so it was my choice not to have the boat sooner. That way I didn't have to pay anyone to store the boat. Worked out. Plus I got a realy good deal buying it in October.
I traded my old x-10 in for the X-2. I have no plans on getting rid of this one. Well never say never but I'll have this one for at least 2 more years. |

ya, i just made them out of some old plywood I had lying around. My 10 year old helped me so I told he she could pick the color of paint for them. That's why I have blue racks.
I have one in the front and one in the back. I can change them around which is kind of nice as they're hanging on some hangers I made. I switch them around for the winter summer seasons. The summer one is bigger and holds more boards, the winter one holds the snow boards.
Man I have too many boards. 5 snowboards, 7 wakeboards, 1 skate and a surfboard. Plus the old kneeboard for the little kids. |

Bam,
When folded, how tall is the highest point of your tower? |

It folds down with the racks folded in to around 81-83 inches. It should fit under a standard 7 foot door. Barely.
I had to redo the molding on the garage and the weather stripping on the top. |
