Me and my girlfriend just bought a house. When we file taxes next year, how do we use the house when we both file single? I normally claim my son and now we'll have the house. Can we "share" the house on two different tax files?

It's whichever one's social security number is on the 1099 you get from the bank at year end showing interest paid. In your case it would probably work out better if your girlfriend could take it, because your standard deduction is higher than hers (head of household vs. single). If you split it, neither one of you will likely get any/much benefit unless you are paying a sizeable amount in interest, taxes, and charitable contributions.
