| so last week i started trying a switch heelside 180 (halfcab?) and today i finally stuck it, but is it weird that i can land that but not a regular heelside 180? i have tried but my balance seems to always get thrown off. anyways just wanted to share my excitement and wondered about the hs 180.. |

great job, accomplishments in wakeboarding feel great don't they.
just keep working on the regular 180, im not sure if its normal or not but just keep working and you'll be fine...
it's probably weird because you're not quite as comfortable landing switch as you are normal which is probably making it harder to land them. if i had to guess i would say its normal _________________ Wake Forest University |

if you mean that you are losing your balance in the air, then maybe you are letting the handle out from your hip, and it is pulling you towards the boat. _________________ Keep Austin Weird |

I would agree that switch hs 180s are easier than regular ones. I was able to stick those more easily and learn them quicker. That's because the regular stance landing is much easier than a switch landing.
I agree with Enzoborder230. On hs 180s, you have to make sure that you don't under-rotate at all. Otherwise, you will slide out. Keep the board underneath you and make sure you complete the rotation before the landing. Hope this helps. |
