why was our beloved thread locked?? can it be un locked, the content did not break any rules, people wer posting their random thoughs in that post vs: all over the place. there was no even nudeity. any of the comments about "lapdances" were merily jokes, and there are many othor topics whith far more lude "sexaulized" content then that of the creamy or crunch thread....

uh-oh spaghetti-O was not erroneous. it was my opinion on the unjust censorship and content shift on this site. unfortunately, the fascist actions that control these forums (and it only takes one, i am not blaming the entire monitor crew) have sent the wakeboarder.com discussion boards into their own decline. take away power from the people and they will revolt, even if it be in silence. it has already begun and it is sad to see something that was once so full of entertainment and life demise slowly.

one can only by squeezed so much before one begins to choke!

I know why the "creamy/crunchy" post was locked...it should be obvious...but why now??? How does locking it solve anything anyway? It's still going to be there. Useless posts are fairly harmless to anyone, if it was, why didn't they just delete the PB post then? I doubt it's really a waste of space either since I can share 500 MB worth of attachments. I assume since swearing and posting inappropriate content is still being allowed though since most of the posts containing that kind of crap are still here and haven't really been dealt with much in the past.

The fun factor is getting lowered at this site, that's all.

It would kind of be funny to see how many people would no longer be .Commies if the PB post was removed. Twisted Evil

amen brother. but it is worse than just that. people who are noted for being "agents" of provocative posts are being silently banned. yesterday, i contributed to the "scott byerly in norcal" post in the general wakeboarding section. the logist of my post can be summed like so "scott byerly is my fav rider to such extent that i am trying to find plane tickets to cali just to go and see him ride." SOMEONE went through that post (which is now located second to last on the first page) and deleted ONLY my post. it's like my presence is being eliminated silently??? to this i simply say...WTF!!!!!!!!!!

You are obviously not allowed to mention the name Scott Byerly on this site because rearranging the letters could spell "loser" which is completely unacceptable on this site...I'll probably get banned for saying that word now! Dragon, actually this site was just getting good again until today. I'm kind of interested in the reasoning for this sudden censorship.

Acually, communism is the exploitation of the people for the few people in power. Theoretically on paper, it works, but in real life the people are exploited and get limited benefits back from the system.

careful... you have to realize that is is very difficult to learn about communism in this country with out being spoon fed the american point of view (a threat to capitalsim). you are right... on paper it works... but it is not about exploiting people... it is centered around the community... "let it be done for the good of the whole." communism is on the opposite spectrum of capitalism, not on the opposite spectrum of good.

i'm not saying that you haven't looked at other wordly texted to see their understanding of communism... i'm just saying you need to be careful and remember that you are proposing subjective notions, not objective ones.

Well, I learned what i did about communism from the actual communist manifesto by Karl Marx i think it is. But i did get it confused with some of the stuff i read in my history book which is pretty anti-communist. Sometimes i get my facts mixed up, so sorry.

Before any of you conspiracy theorists go crazy, I just wanted to make a comment. Last night I locked the "Creamy or Crunchy" thread after consulting with Pat. It had turned into a chat room... The idea of a message board is that new topics are posted when new ideas are presented. It keeps things organized. If you want a chat room, there is one available. If you want to direct a message to a certain user, there is private messaging. The creamy or crunchy thread did not provide any kind of useful information to anyone, not to mention it was unnecessarily large.

If you have any problems with that...PM me. I don't think any of the mods plan on unlocking it though. It's not like we're doing some kind of crazy crackdown on the content of the threads. We do let a lot through. The point of the site, though, is to provide useful information that interests all and is family oriented, and that thread just didn't meet the criteria...so it's done. Also, the topic had nothing to do with the content......
