Any general tips/tricks for getting on good edge? I see all the tips about progressive edging, but those all assume you can edge already.

BigMace255, keep your knees slightly bent and your back straight, with the handle at your front hip. Gently shift your weight from toe to heel edge and carve around a bit. Once you are confident, start outside the wake with a gentle edge and gradually get harder, but not too intense. You should hit the wake with what you feel is about half as fast as you can go.

I've got an idea about the edging concept. A lot of people came directly over from snowboarding, and said it's a lot like edging on a board. I'm an alpine skiier, however, so I'm wondering if the general idea is the same. Instead of rolling the ankles side to side to get on edge on skis, you just move your foot up and down, using body position and the rope to help? I see lots of people, when taking big/hard turns, leaning nearly parallel to the water.
