I tried one for the first time two weeks ago just to see how close I could come, and I got the rotation but not the handle. Now I really want to land those after seeing how close I got. I can't do a TS 360 landing wrapped, so should I start trying the TS 3 landing wrapped, or just go for the 720 landing wrapped. Plus, what's the best way to land wrapped. _________________ www.munsonski.com

obviously if you want to land the 7 wrapped, you should practice a ton of ts3's landing wrapped. thats like trying to run before you can walk. once this landing has been engraved in your brain you must put all of your focus into the last handle pass, as it is the hardest part. keep the handle as close as you can especially after coming around from the 5. i still have never ridden away from this trick, due to that b*tch of a last handle pass.
as for landing wrapped i have had a bit more success. you want to face your head and shoulders in the direction your tail points. this position combine with leaning on edge against the boat will allow you to ride out a landing without slipping out or unwinding.
if you do one without the other (dont look behind/resist the boat) you will unwind, or slip back on your heels. _________________ Mark Kenney, 1983-2002

I don't find the handle that hard to get, you might be trying to rush it thinking about the 7. Make sure you do a nice slow 5 get the handle in both hands then click it to blind. Leave both hands on the handle throughout the first 180. Another thing is the cut. Take a realllly long drift and totally stiffen your front leg and hold that cut up the wake and you'll get booted straightup with a loose line. DO NOT try to load and jump at the wake. Then suck your knee up and try to hit your elbow and start spinning. Goodluck. _________________ http://www.centurionboats.com/

I don't know how long your rope is, but if your wake permits, try lengthening it so you are in the air longer. Suck up your legs while you're spinning and while you're landing if you're going for an on-axis 7. _________________ www.ten-80.com |

maybe the reason i have had no luck with the last handle pass is due to too much tension up the wake. phil's idea about the cut seems like a key factor.
also, there is less line tension with a longer rope, making the handle a little easier to deal with. the more compact you are in the air, the faster you will be able to rotate. _________________ Mark Kenney, 1983-2002
