My buddy and I are complete beginners...we have skied, tubed, kneeboarded, but this wakeboard thing is new, and after one ride Im so hooked!
We really arent sure how you should have the bindings... should your feet look like a V when you look down? or // or ||
We are dealing with a 99$ hydroslide unit, which Im sure you guys would hate, but I enjoyed it....but have a feeling before the season is over we will be getting a upgrade
Here is me on Sunday on my first ride...

| When i started out i rode toward the back and my feet were like thes \ | as I learned and progressed I went to a v shape and made my stance even for riding switch. I love a wide stance! |

You need to be able to absorb your weight on landing.
So... I recommend.....
Stand on the floor ... go down into a base ball catchers position 4-5 times in a row.
Look at your feet.
This should be a knee friendly way to start. Then just tweek to your feel. |

generally it's easier to start off with both feet angled out...i'd say start with the front foot at more of an angle with the back foot a rather smaller angle...then as u progress u can tweak it to the point where riding switch is comfotable...it's not like pro's ride both feet at the same angle or anything...personally i do but that's just preference _________________ Smile at the hotties on the boat...Huck ur new trick...Nail it and they'll think ur Wicked..and even if u bail they can soothe u afterwards:D...

Lol. I'm such a noobie I thought you were just supposed to ride with both feet straight forward... like this ----|---|----
Think changing the angle on the bindings would help anything? |

I can vouch for riding position as only being a smidge above a noob myself...I switched to an even toe-out position and it made my control on my edging light years better than riding neutral...I went from ---|-----/--- (yeah, i ride goofy) to a more even ---\-----/--- and now i can edge as hard as i want and still ride switch...
I like the analogy of standing in a catcher's stance a few times...i would probably jump up and land, then into a catcher's stance, and put my feet on my board where they landed after jumping. That is your body telling you where it wants your feet to be. |
