What is a quick release knob?

i'm about to purchase a tower and i'm definately new to buying towers and i'm curious about this product and what it does...????

I assume it allows the release/disconnect of the front leg(s) of the tower so it can fold back?

tsunami wakeboard tower....i ordered it yesterday it'll be here friday...

the knob allows you to take down the front legs w/o having to go in ur garage and find the right size wrench and take down the tower that way.
