DPC Films is proud to announce that we will be producing a new wakeboard DVD for 2006. It’s not just another wake DVD. The DVD will feature the best female wakeboarders in the world, aptly titled, “Chick Flick.” In 1998, Filmworks released a video, "Beyond 3," showcasing women’s riding. We’re picking up where they left off. We’re looking to start filming in March, capturing the riding and lifestyle in places such as Florida, California, Arizona and many others. Projected release of the DVD is at the 2006 Surf Expo in Orlando.

Here’s where you can be a part of this project. Send us a name or a list of riders that you think we should include in the DVD. Tell us why you think they should be included. Email them to info@dpcfilms.com.

Any thoughts about visiting some of the grassroots events in those locations to just throw in a few unknowns or future prospects?

sounds sweet, I saw shelby hitting that a-frame they had set up at the cow palace a few weeks back...that was the first girl I ever saw hit a slider in person, she seemed pretty cool too when I talked to her at inside the little booth Marine Max had set up.

jumalian, ever hear of 16 below? its a skate video where all the riders are under 16. some amazing riding form up and coming rippers. i've always wanted to see someone do a wakeboarding 16 below. just an idea.

I'd Like to see Louise Moore on there to fly the flag for the brits with Will. Lou is in the states almost all year round now too so she should be easy to track down.

Whats the format going to be? single rider sections or will you be getting groups together to shoot?

Sounds great, and also good to see a bit of skating thrown in (I presume) with the likes of Stef Tor.

When I first started buying wakeboard videos, I always wanted one like this. All chicks. No, I'm not gay. But I found watching other chicks ride was quite inspiring. Way to go Joe. Cool

Just wondering why SUnni-anne Ball isn't on the list. i know she won wakstock last year and maybe even the year before. I haven't really seen here ride but she's beaten a lot of good female riders in some big tourney's.

My vote is for Sunni-Anne Ball

OH yeah Great idea for a video. This way i can watch a video of riders doing stuff i can realistically accomplish.

I'm not sure if they'll be over there next summer, but if they are, check out Hayley Smith and Angelica Schriber. Both rippers, both ultra cool girls.

the reason why some riders might not have been included was that they were rather unknown to anyone at DPC while the list of riders was being made. its not that they werent good riders, but rather that their name just isnt as common as marquardt, friday, copeland-durham, pearlman, tor, etc, etc...

Great idea for a vid guys. That list is pretty impressive as is. I don't know why, (yall probably do) but I love watching chicks rip it up. I'll be looking forward to this one.
