It seems like lately wakeboarding just isn't any fun. I love riding and all it just isn't like it was last summer. Lately I have been riding with guys that can throw some good tricks. I am stuck learning wake 2 wake and surface tricks(this is after 3 years of riding). I guess I am just thinking I have to/or want to ride as good as the other guys. Yesterday was the first time I have ever tried riding finless, to make the surface stuff easier. I had one crash on toeside and I got so pissed I just quit after riding for maybe 5 minutes. I'm just tired of crashing and pushing myself to doing stuff I can't do. It's not that the other guys push me to do all this stuff and when I don't they just say well you suck and don't help. They are out there telling me what I am doing wrong every time and I just don't get most of it. I'm thinking of taking a week off and just going back to the basics and screwing around like I used to (ollie's, carving, working on wake jumps, and surface stuff). Just trying to have more fun. The worst thing about yesterday was that I was riding behind a 226! The wake was huge and now I am so mad that I quit so early.

Have fun, thats waht its about. And progress at your own pace. I've been riding on and off since i was 14, but I didn't take it seriously until last year to really learn how to go big.

Having fun is what it is all about. I would like to keep up with the big dogs but some of the best times i have had are taking my kids and relatives kids. The one thing i have learned from them is to laugh at your mistakes and cheer at your success.
