My boat is pretty weighted down and i usually never go over 30 mph. I'm assuming i can buy an aftermarket prop that will get me out of the hole faster, i don't care about losing top end speed.
Does anyone one know what pitch i should get to accomplish this or even know who makes one for a 01 Master Craft 19' skier. Thanx. |

it's a factory 3, but i need more torque. My boat is designed to make a small wake. I weight the hell out of it. the wake is sick but i can't deal with waiting for the thing to plane out. i have it distributed properly anymore weight in the front and the nose dips to far into the water. I need more weight in the back if anything but then i'll never plane out.
I'm using my student loan money to pay it off, so i can sell it. Anyone know of a good used wake specific boat that i can pick up for 25g?. At least 310 HP or up? |

You dont need to sell your boat just because of your problem. The Prop you need is called an Acme 381. It's a 4 blade that is 13.5 X 17.5. After a call to Acme, I am convinced this is the prop for our boats. (I have a 2002 X-Star. A little different but basicly the same) The other option is the Acme 537. The 537 is a 13.5 X 16. It might be a little to extreame of a pitch but I'm going to try one of them and if I don't like it, you can send it back directly to Acma and try another one. Just tell your Acme dealer that it isn't the performance you were looking for and would like to try another one. All Acme dealers should be cool about it. The best thing I can tell you though, is to call Amce directly. I believe you have a direct drive so It might change a little bit from my prop so just call and ask what they suggest. Hope that helped.
Here is the thread to my same question.

| You probably have a 13x13 three blade. That is what my older master craft had on it. I put a 13x13 four blade just a standard OJ prop and it was a night and day difference. Mine would take forever to get out of the hole now it pops up pretty quick, still a little slow but that is expected when running full of weight. |
