whitie, you have to land on your toeside edge on those, so try to overrotate it and land on your face. Also, keep the handle in tighter, and maybe don't let go so early. I had the excact same problem as you when I was learning them.

I agree with Stewie on the trying to overrotate. It looks like your getting a solid pop off the wake and enough air but the rotation is a little slow. Good luck man!

I think you opened up your body too soon so the rotation stopped and you end up landing on your butt. You should hold your knees to your chest for just a little longer to complete the rotation.

whitie, I feel your pain man. This is my second season trying them and Ive rotated about 30-40 and landed on my butt with no sucess. Holding on longer with 2 hands seemed to help get closer, Im thinking about trying to grab it indy to stay tucked better or off the dumper. Has anyone done them off the dumper? I know it gives you slack in the line so I didnt know if trip flips were possible using it. It seems like it would help though because it trips you a little and pops you high, straight up.

Dude you need heaps more weight on your front leg when your cutting in.. Your cutting hard enough because your getting the pop and distance but not the rotation.. See when your cutting in how the whole front half of the board is out of the water.. well you want the very nose of the board to be the only part not in the water when your cutting so lean down the rope and load up your front foot as much as you can.. Also push the handle down at the wake this will allow you to start rotating earlier rather than having to pop up to get over the handle to rotate.. Smile

you turn slightly to the right (the boat does) if you are a left foot forward rider. This makes the wake slightly steeper and bucks you straight up.

Man look how flat your board is and your about a foot from the wake, I think that you are putting all of your wait on your back foot and then when you are getting close to the wake you are trying to position yourself for the roll and you are loosing all of you edge. If you try the opposite and progresivley edge more and more then you will have more time in the air to get over the front of your board for the landing.

Its a frontroll dude.. with a trip flip edge.. so you gotta have a hard consistent cut and roll off edge at the wake to get tripped....

I know that he needs to come off his edge at the very end as his board gets to the lip of the wake, but what I am saying is that in the picture He is already off of his edge and there is still a good was to go.

Yea your right he does come off early.. cept i just meant that with a progressive cut when he switches edges he will probably get slack in the rope thats why you cut hard at the start of the cut and have a consistently hard cut the whole way in.. Razz
