oh, well sorry. umm, still like make a bet or soemthing. or just take a nice hard long progressive edge into the wake, and jsut smoke the wake. you will end up flying, and try to land it haha,.

but dude dont be afraid of it its water lol dont look at hte injurys cus ur not doing any thing with rails..... i have never got hurt when the water is clear though i hit a log once that screwed my board luckly the boat missed it ahh i wonder off topic again sorry hehehe well ne ways just have a go dont be scared Wink

I guess my advice would be... just DO IT. If it seems like you are going to fall, let go of the rope! Last year, when I was beginning to teach myself, I didn't let go of the rope once, caught a hard edge on a fall, and tore my rotator cuff muscle in my shoulder.
I know that isn't probably helping you Laughing

, but what I am saying is, just pay attention, keep focused on the shoreline, not looking down.. and let go of the rope if need be.

It does suck when you get scared. I absolutely hate it. You just gotta think, "COME ON! Your not really gonna chicken out, its just water..DO IT!" Dont think about it too much...just get comfortable and before thinking about what might happen just huck it. It also helps me at least when I have a rider thats better than me in the boat. Its good motivation to try to impress them.

hey wat i do is sing some music that will pump me up to do watever i want to do... just pretend ur in the movies and ur about to kick ass or lose it all and it will work....do it like its the last time u will ever wakeboard and ur gonna do the best u could possibly do even if it means potentially maiming injuries.....make the pain worth the trick

listen to your favorite song,that should get you pretty pumped up then just dont even think about what you think is gonna happen or what people in the boat will think, just do it

You are now getting some very shady advice... The only thing you are going to accomplish is riding out of control thus getting hurt, and in turn making you afraid. I think though, what you may be doing, is relating fear, with adrenaline.

Hey, i thought i would drop my opinion in since theres nothing else to talk about. But yea i started riding this year around July and was scared to do anything too. But with in the first week i rode i started just getting use to the the board and carving and edging until i got myself use to it. Let the board become a part of you. Like some of the other guys said listen to your favorite song or something to get you pumped up. And before you go out into the water clear your mind dont think about anything just go out there and do it. Somedays i can have really bad days and those are the days that i have a lot on my mind and am really focusing on what im doing if i just go out there and just ride and not think about it its the best ride ever. A wake board is kind of like your danceing partner all you have to do is go out there and follow its lead and let it happen. Yea you might do a couple of face plants here and there but all that does is make you tougher. For instance when i was trying my first backroll. i was thinknig there is no way im gonna land this and i was right i didnt i had a negative attitude so i got a negative landing. SO just got out and ride and just have fun and once your comfortable with the board and have a Positive attitude that your going to land something you will. The next day i went out i landed my back roll (Just let it happen)
Sorry it was so LLLOOONNNGGG!!!! I was just bored hehe

yeah good advices..but i cant use them now jaja because i ride with my brother and he just injured he's knee trying a front roll or flip roll something like that ..so.. its sad ..but i will try that sooner as i can

you just have to try it. once you do, you learn its not that bad. and once you throw an invert or spin it opens so many windows to other tricks.

yah i'll agree being scared sucks pretty bad...I was gettin choked up on 3's cause the handle pass wasn't working for me n i just kept droping it with my buddy in the boat...then the next weekend my friend and a couple of her friends came out (see pic and don't mind my farmer tan) and booyah i stomped it...Just get something to pump u up like music, ladies (or guys for the ladies), or bets...

Im new to wakeboarding but I have been around it for a long time with my friends and all. Im pretty nervous about getting out there and faceplanting too. I am a firefighter and I go into burning buildings and see things that normal people do not see and for some reason Im still nervous. Just go out there and go balls out and yes I know you dont have any but just go for it. Sory it was so long.
