Awesome pics. in this thread.

Here is one that I shot yesterday of my local lake.
It's overflowing right now because of all of the rain we're getting here.

my old camera was jacked from me, this is my first few days with a digital. I feel old because I can't figure the dam thing out. Laughing

Maestro, ya you definately have wakeboard shots down, you're gonna love the 70-200. And that overexposed pic, I actually kind of like it when portraits are blown out a little, I think because its because I don't like shadows on the face. Yours doesnt help because shes blonde with black on, makes for such a drastic contrast, but heres one of mine thats technically not exposed correctly, but I liked the results:

(I made it darker post processing, but I don't have the original on this computer..)

dirtysparks, nice action shot.

So I just figured out how to do batch processing/automations... I can't believe I've gone this long without it, my post processing just got 15 minutes x amount of pictures shorter. If anyone needs help with it I'll try and walk you through it, but there are are pretty good tutorials on photoshop. I think you need CS, or CS2.

Uh, no.

PS 4 (released almost 10 years ago!) had batch processing.

justsomeguy, but what about Elements, as it's now days and I dont have to go shopping at the flea market to get it... I dont think it does.

Laugh Damon, makes life a little easier doesnt it? But you shouldnt be doing it for your PP on good pictures, just for resizes and quickies. Good pictures deserve some individual time on them. Wink Smile

Is Google broken in your village or are you just unable to use the help files, or both?

PSE 2, released in 2002 does batch processing.

True, but there many shots where you dont have time to set up and make the picture better, so a little PP to get rid of unwanted items helps.

I agree mostly though, a good picture dosnt need much work. Too much PP goes from a picture to "digital art" and doesnt deserve to be called photography IMO.

I think it's rather I dont care enough to check. Why would I when I can get you to do it for me? Wink

I'll stick to my CS.

Edit: lol just realized I messed up on the stitching on the first picture. Can anyone recomend a good FREE(or cheap) stitching program? Lost my last one in a computer crash. Evil or Very Mad

Does CS have a stitching program? Yes. Is it any good? No.

Looking for a good one. Wink

PTGui was good, but it required too much manual imput. I was recomended a couple mostly automatic ones, yet still have all the manual features to get the picture just how you want it, just cant remember the names. Confused

That hasn't been my experience. And I've used a number of different stitching programs over the years.

Photomerge has yielded the best results so far.
