| I've been trying to figure out if I actually need a marine head unit or would just any unit would do? It would be covered and not exposed to water. |

| non marine. Pioneer/Premier make some very good units for the price and are compatible with their marine remote. |

| i have 10years in a car audio shop that caters to alot of boats , and the biggest difference in most of the marine radios is the color , and the option for a wired remote .. We have used alot of jvc units in the past couple boats ,and have had good luck with them . Good Luck |
