|
|
Ok I am doing a informative speech (6 minutes long) about wakeboarding. I have to use two visual aides during the speech, I figured I would show my board and show part of a dvd. I was going to talk about the history of wakeboarding, how to make a board, how to get up on a wakeboard and describe the different parts and aspects of a board. Does anybody know where I can get some of this information from? Or know of a way I can go about doing this.
Thanks
David |

You could talk about all of those things in a several hour seminar, and still have room for more. Why not just touch on a couple smaller things? Maybe a report on how it all started, how much it's grown in the last years, followed by a short video?
And use powerpoint.

You can get a history of wakeboarding on the PWT website www.prowakeboardtour.com
I agree though - if you hit all of those topics you will only be touching those topics and not giving enough information on it....If you are like me I can practice it to a tee, but then I speak about double what I did in practice and end up with alot of extra time in my speech to fill, so have a plan to fill it in with other information if you have the time.. _________________ If you do not like your job, you don't strike....You just go in there everyday and do it really half a$$ed.....Now that's the American way - Homer Simpson.

| I could addlib 6 minutes worth. Just hit everything quickly, and not in depth, and maybe you won't go over 10 minutes. |

also you might want to mention the, I guess, ethnographic side of it. How it in itself has become a culture and a society... _________________ "I just want something more than to come home in my cool looking SUV, sit in my king sized leather recliner and watch reality television on my widescreen plasma TV...How easy it is to care for someone when you dont have anything else..." |
