so on our lake we have our own swim raft just off shore. the kind kids can just goof off on. it's roughly 7x7 feet. i'm thinking of taking off the ladder and puting pvc sheeting on it. i know this wouldn't actually be a slider, but more or less a box for jibbing.
has anyone out there done this before? also, does it seem like a waste of pvc sheeting for how short it will be?
In a one word answer, yes. 7 feet wouldn't give you time to really do anything on it. It would be to help work on like 270 ons/spinning off rails, but other than that I don't see much point. It would be a millisecond of a jib - and you'd already be off in the blink of an eye.
but if you've seen brian grubb's section in SNAP in the bonus fetures, it makes sense. which is where i got the idea. the olny problem is you can't judge the length of the box they used.
it would just be a way to pratice an a wakeskate, and not ahve to deal with taking it in and out every time i use it.
