I'm buying a new handle/rope combo and I was wondering if their were any disadvantages to using a wrap handle(i.e. losing tension)? Any suggestions for new handles and ropes would be great too. Thanks.

Nah, wrap handles just have that extra bar. If you're new to the sport, don't expect to use it anytime soon.

I prefer a non wrap handle, just feels lighter in the air. That being said there's not a single trick I can do with a non wrap that I cant with a wrap.

I am a huge fan of the old byerly grip, super comfy. I havent ridden this years yet, lakes are still frozen. Hopefully they will thaw in the next two weeks.

Nah, I'm not new, I was thinking about trying some wrapped spins this season, but I've got plenty of other things I wanna do first. So I think I'm just gonna get a regular one.

If the combo handle is about the same price as the regular, I would get the combo cause then I wouldn't have to spend the money later. I have one and currenty don't get much use out of it, but don't feel any extra drag or weight from the wrap handle.
