I'm working on these too. Basically, throw it like a backroll, but a little harder off of the wake. Then, when you come around and can see the wake, let go with your front hand and pull the handle to your hip. Land edging away on your toes.
Now, if only it were that simple
so, yeah, if anyone has any advice, please give us some. _________________ The consciousness of self is the greatest hindrance to the proper execution of all physical action.

I hate to contradict, but I actually heard don't throw it as hard. I have only tried these a couple of times, so I just throwing my two cents in. The word is it's a quicker rotation (naturally) than a backroll, because you don't rotate as much as you do a backroll. If you take the same cut as you do on a backroll you will end up landing on your butt or skipping-out. Just a thought. Take a little bit shorter approach and try to go wake-to-wake. Good Luck. |

hmm... you may be right mad cat. I can't land them yet, so I really don't know.
but what I was saying is to give a sort w2w approach, just when you come off the wake, try and throw the board up and away a little harder than usual, but I really dunno
maybe someone can help me... _________________ The consciousness of self is the greatest hindrance to the proper execution of all physical action.

remember how you land on your toes when you do a basic 180? well you apply that to the roll to revert. a few 180's prior to trying the roll to revert will help. as for the handle, act as if your putting that hand in your pocket to keep it close. hope this helps. |

AS soon as become inverted I let go of my fornt hand. Thinkin about it to much doesn't help. Just do t like you've done it a million times. And you don't have to thrw it harder. I find it harder to land a regular backroll then a roll to evert. But ya, don't throw it to hard and as soon as you become inverted let go with your lead hand that way when you come down you have already been pulled into faki by the boat and you just have to focus on the landing. good luck! _________________ NDCproductions.tripod.com
