Got both of my nipples pierced last night, the piercer says no lake for 30 days. She also told me about this saran wrap type patch that I can use to get in the water. How soon have you guys gotten in the water after your piercings???

BTW, it hurt like shizzle!!!!

just put some clear tape over them and wear a life jacket. that should keep the tape on and keep them dry. well as long as you nipples dont sweat too bad.

I'd agree with what Wes said... maybe you could wear a shorty or something to give you a bit of extra protection.

ladies, dont do this unless you want them nipples pointing south. i ve seen it happen to two girls.

You don't want any type of pressure on your nipples after a piercing.
Wearing something tight will just make you feel ohhhhh so much better....NOT.

If you haven't already had tape placed on your nipples. It's not a fun feeling having to remove it, regardless if it's the saran wrap type. (That's if you're not already numb.)

ME?? Nope that's one area I refuse to pierce, but I have seen nasty blisters from tape on nipples from my patients placed by insensitve OR staff.

I have my bellybutton and tragus (the little thing in your ear). After both I went in the lake a few days after, just cleaned the heck out of it with bactine once I got out. They didn't get infected or have any problems. I'm sure with the nipples it's a different story because they are more sensitive. My suggestion is just don't go in, don't want to risk it. Like phantom said bad timing... Sad

I think the tragus would hurt almost as much as the nipples. That thing looks so painful. A friend of mine has hers done and I cringe when I look at it. Something about that little piece on your ear that should not have a ring though it.

I'm sorry but that's just not right. I can understand ear's, bellybuttons on girls, sometimes a nose ring on a girl (not a hoop but like a lil tiny thing)... i'll never get anything pierced, but that's just me.

It actully didn't hurt at all! I was very surprised, it bled a bit but only because that piece is thick.

I recommend you remove them imediately. Geeze man, what the hell were you thinking. Where I grew up only homosexuals pierce their nipples. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Well yeah, I think Im gonna get a tattoo on my eyeball before I go through another nipple piercing, glad I did both last night, otherwise I would never go back to get the other one done! I've broken 5 bones at the same and that didnt come close to the pain from piercing my nips. They are really sore today and sensitive, but I'd do it again. It's something i've wanted to do for a while, but the peer pressure sank in last night.

My sister got her bellybutton pierced, and they told her 3 mos! Well, she only lasted 'till the lake thawed, about 2 weeks, and she had no problems!

HA, I got my nipple peirced a little over a year ago. It didn't hurt me really much at all, it sort of felt good (if that makes any sense). I had to take it out though, it grew out (practically the whole way). I think i'm gonna get it redone, I liked it. I would deffinatly wait at least 2 weeks. Pressure will feel good, keeps them from movin around, but lake water is Bubb Rubb infectious. If you do go, clean the Bubb Rubb outta them when your done!

Just make sure to dry off after you get out of the water and you might want to put some bactine or something on after your done riding. Should be all good...

Can't speak from experience about peircings, but I've had my fair share of ink done and never had any problems with infections from the water. Might make a big difference depending on how polluted your lake is though. Just make sure to keep them clean.

BTW-- So when you getting the twig n' berries done??? Twisted Evil
