Not sure if this was the right place to put this but oh well...

I need some fin help. I'm looking to drill new fins holes. I want to take my board and turn it from 1 fin to 3 fins. I don't like the feel of the one big fin thats on my board...but if I go any smaller the feeling is even worse. I don't have the money to buy a new board, which is the reason for me doing this. I remember coming across a guide about a year or so ago, on how to drill new holes, but I was unable to find it again. I am planning on drilling my 2004 Hyperlite Juvi 131. Can anybody help me?
Thanks.

Also,
I found some cheap hyperlite A-Wings at a sports store where near I live.
My plan was to have 2 semi-shorter fins on the side (like .5'' -.7'') and something larger in the center (like 1'') How do you think this will effect my hold compared to my one 3.2'' center fin? If I'm looking for a looser feel than the 3.2'' center, should I go with just two .7'' fins on either side? Thanks.

And if anybody happens to know of a guide online, please drop me the URL.

Thanks again.

Each board is designed to ride with the numebr of fins it came with. I would not reccomend adding fins/drilling holes.....you might be dissapointed wiht the results. Start saving $$$ and when you have enough sell your old board and get somehtign different. Moreover, when you start drillign holes in your current board it will destroy any resales value. Structural intergrity may also be an issue.

Wolf,
Just keep looking, you can get a nice board for cheap. I got a mint 04 LF balance for 155 shipped.

I did this same exact thing on my wakeskate. I took my 4trac and took plugged the center holes with p-tex. I then drilled holes to put some lf subjekt fins...the cupped ones. I really like the way it came out. the skate is now way loose when flat and very playful and way easy to shuvit and flip around etc....but once I am on edge, holds solidly and it is awesome for w2w.

It was very easy to do, and if it is something you really want to do, then go for it. Just took a little bit of thinking make sure I get the fins lined up right.

I will post pictures and a more detailed explaination of how I did it when I get home.
