I have a 17.5ft I/O boat, and may buy a 680lbs fat sac, could anyone that has put around this weight in a I/O tell me if it made a big difference on increasing your wake.

Its hard to say without seeing your wake but ballast in the bow of an I/O usually works well

Get the largest sack you can fit (probably 300lbs) and drop it in the ski locker. This give you some good weight that is out of the way and centered. Then grab another 300-450lb sack and place it about 25% more towards the front than the ski locker. That should give you a nice peak. Try moving the 2nd sack around and using different trim levels until you find the best position. 750lbs will be a good amount of weight for that boat. What engine do you have?

If you do it, let me know how it works out. I'd like to see some pics. I'm thinking of doing the same to my 17' I/O. I'm looking at Sac's now.

20 ft I/O 250 hp, got a 600 lbs sack in bow walkway recently, yes it makes a huge difference. Once you plane out trim up 1/8.
