|
|
After much planning, and even more measuring, I finally got the tower speakers welded, powdercoated, dynamatted, etc. for my friend's 2001 Sunsetter VLX.
The speakers themselves are Boston Acoustic Pro 6.5's. The amp is a Rockford Fosgate 750X. I used MonsterCable throughout. The grommets that are on the tower are Toyota PVC grommets that can be found at any autoparts for about 3 bucks each.
Since the boat rides so heavy in the rear when planed, I had to put about a 5 degree down angle into the rear if the cannisters so they wouldn't be facing the water about 50ft back. We had to use aluminum spacers that I made to clear the tower.
I used Boss Brackets that I bought from DaJuice. Thanks again man!
He's REALLY happy with the appearance, performance, and overall sturdiness of them. They don't budge a bit even when we hit a double up! Plus you can hear every word loud and clear while you're riding.

Hey Great Job. You did awesome. Nice work on running wires threw the tower. I know what your talking about The way you angle the speaker's I bet it sounds good when the boat is on Plane and the is Bow high. ANd the way the 2 speakes mount together looks Bulit Proof good work, What did everything cost you $$$ "Materials only", Aluminum Tubes, Welding, Mounts, Dynamat, Powdercoat. ect Thanks G"
